It is a very effective low carbon way of heating your home, offering up to 4 x greater efficiency and reducing your carbon footprint by up to 65%. This can be combined with solar pv offering even greater savings. Our team will carry out a full EPC survey if required along with and an in-depth heat loss survey.
- Carry out an in-depth heat loss survey.
- Design & specify a suitable heat pump and system following MCS guidelines.
- Our experienced installers will prepare the site for the heat pump installation including removing, if necessary gas boilers, existing hot water cylinders etc by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- DNO notification.
- Install your ASHP, hot water cylinder and all ancillary equipment including controls.
- Electrical work carried out by a qualified electrician.
- Commission your system and handover including explaining how to use your heat pump controls.
- Register all warranties/ guarantees.
ASHP’s are very energy efficient. For every 1kw of electrical input you will see an average of 3 to 4 kw of heat output providing heating and hot water in your home. This is an efficiency of 300%-400%.
Compare this to a modern condensing boiler that at best will be 90% efficient. Using a heat pump also means zero carbon dioxide output at the point of use.
